Welcome Mary Lou to her 3rd annual retreat with Santa Barbara Quilting Retreats. I always look forward to the events we do with Marylou because I feel family is coming to town for a visit, not only with her but with the wonderful students she attracts.

Mary Lou will lead the way to another wonderful Story Quilt a visual genealogy of events in the life of the students. Fall is my favorite time of year and I cannot wait to experience some of my favorite celebrations early. I want to Trick O Treat with some very fun Treats, enjoy some wonderful Pumpkin Soup, Hot Apple Cider, Jack O Lantern Cookies, YUM!

After traveling to many destinations, Mary Lou started making Autumn wall hangings with fabulous Fall colors and iconic symbols. Mary Lou will give you a list of ideas and a list of colors to bring and styles of fabric. This is a good chance to learn about color and what makes or breaks a great quilt. You will have the choice of piecing things or appliquéing too or a combination of both which is really the most exciting. See what wonderful designs result! You need not stick to the color palette mentioned here you may use your imagination and any story you wish.

We will visit Quilt Ventura, Beadtime, Anacapa Yarns and of course the Treasure Hunt for our annual Wine and Cheese Party in Carpinteria.
